Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex technology projects and programs from initiation through implementation and post-production support.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, requirements, and success criteria.
- Cook up cross-functional teams, including software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, architecture, data management, operations, and third-party vendors.
- Monitor project progress using key performance indicators and provide regular status reporting to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests while implementing appropriate mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, cybersecurity standards, audit requirements, and technology governance processes.
- Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and communicate project health, milestones, financials, and decisions.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, vendor contracts, and financial reporting.
- Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate for each initiative.
- Drive continuous improvement of project management practices, governance, and delivery standards.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the development of the Project Management Office (PMO).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years leading enterprise technology initiatives within banking or financial services.
- Proven experience delivering complex technology projects involving multiple business units and technical teams.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, digital banking, payments, lending, regulatory compliance, information security, and risk management.
- Experience managing multimillion-dollar project budgets and geographically distributed teams.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and traditional Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Clarity, or Planview.
