About the role

The Project Manager has overall responsibility for the successful planning and execution of IT projects. They work closely with operations, solutions delivery, infrastructure, innovation, governance, security teams, business partners, and vendors to define, develop, and execute deployment of assigned projects. The Project Manager ensures projects follow the project life cycle methodology and meet business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with all Technology teams, business partners, and vendors to plan, organize, secure, and manage resources for assigned projects following software development lifecycle and project implementation policies.
  • Independently research, analyze, identify, and document tasks to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and lead project team meetings to accomplish deliverables.
  • Manage the project including work statements, work breakdown structures, budget and schedule tracking, task management, risk analysis, issue resolution, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and reporting.
  • Communicate project status, key metrics, and health to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate inter-team communication and resolution of program-level dependencies, including weekly status and monthly executive steering committee meetings.
  • Trace requirements through the project lifecycle to ensure scope management and delivery of original requirements.
  • Support requirement discussions, reviews, testing, and other activities to ensure resource participation and deliverables meet scope and schedule.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of equivalent work experience in project management or business analysis.
  • Sound business judgment in coordinating user group requirements.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, technical manuals, and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret spreadsheets.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build and lead a team in completing projects.
  • Some travel may be required to support Parks Technology division and client locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in MIS, Technology, or Business.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts, requirements gathering, or business analysis preferred.
  • Project Management Certification is preferred.
