PROJECT MANAGER II

About the role

At DCG ONE, one of the largest privately held marketing service providers in the country, you’ll ensure projects are set up properly and move through the workflow efficiently. You’ll help team members understand their involvement, keep clients informed and on track, and collaborate with Strategy, Creative, and Tech teams while handling day-to-day client interaction alongside the Account team. The role involves setting up jobs in workflow software, allocating resources, scheduling and reviewing creative deliverables, and maintaining positive relationships with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Exercise a high degree of discretion to support the creative department.
• Serve as the lead partner to the Account Manager while comfortable in an external client-facing role.
• Collaborate across teams to understand project scopes; review materials, build timelines, manage team activities, and create project documentation.
• Manage day-to-day project schedules/calendars to track campaign and deliverable milestones.
• Manage project resources and tasks across digital and print campaigns.
• Ensure project outcomes meet deliverable deadlines and required quality standards on budget.
• Serve as a coach and mentor to other Project Managers on your team across various workflows.
• Monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions.
• Oversee post-production timelines, development of all assets, QCing, and managing final delivery.
• Set and define new processes as needed.

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of project management experience, preferably in a digital or traditional advertising agency.
• Familiarity with project management techniques and tools; Asana or Azure Dev Ops experience a plus.
• Familiarity with design tools and development terminology; knowledge of Adobe CS, Invision, Figma, or Sketch App a plus but not required.
• Experience working with external vendors and/or agency partners.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all internal team members while keeping focus on the client’s goals and needs.
• Experience excelling within fast-paced, high-energy environments.
• Interest in being involved in every part of the creative process, from strategy through delivery.
• Strong interest in digital experiences.
• BA in Marketing or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience in the field).

Work Environment

This position is predominantly held in a clerical, office setting and may also involve access to the production floor in an industrial warehouse. Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets is required. While performing duties, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
