Project Manager II

Scope

Develop written project plans to establish the project “charter” definition, the scope of work, cost, and schedule parameters. Manage the project in accordance with AFRY USA LLC’s Project Management Procedures and the contractual agreement with the client. Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

Relationships

Serve as client liaison, including initiating and participating in meetings and conferences, having the authority to speak for the company. Supervise personnel assigned to the project team. Direct supervision may include project engineers, discipline engineers, other engineering consultants, home office and/or resident construction management, and project support service personnel including procurement, project control, estimating, scheduling and administration.

Qualifications

• Must possess in-depth knowledge and a working background in project management principles.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architectural discipline or equivalent combination of academic training and related engineering experience.
• Prefers 5 years of engineering experience with a minimum of 2 to 7 years of managing projects.
• Familiarity with project accounting, estimating, and scheduling procedures and systems is preferred.
• Professional registration as an engineer or architect is preferred.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to make effective presentations to clients and technical groups.
• Industry focus: Chemical & Bio Refining, Pulp & Paper, Mining and Metals.
• Strong computer-based skills in relevant software programs, such as Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, Outlook, and Windows.
