About the role
The Project Manager I (Substation) position at PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC supports substation construction and maintenance projects across the company's service areas. This is an entry-level position designed for a motivated college graduate ready to learn, travel, and grow within the utility construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
- Serving as a liaison between project stakeholders, including internal teams, field crews, vendors, and clients
- Tracking budgets, controlling costs, and generating financial reports
- Coordinating materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs
- Supporting job site documentation, reporting, and record-keeping
- Ensuring safety compliance, quality control, and adherence to company procedures
- Learning industry standards, substation construction practices, and project controls
- Assuming increasing responsibilities as skills and experience grow
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or graduating soon)
- Strong desire to build a career in project management and utility construction
- Willingness and ability to travel as required by project needs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; project software a plus)
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Pay
Salary range: $85,000 - 115,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Hours may vary based on project needs and may require occasional travel.
