About the Role

A member of the technical project management team, the Project Manager plans, organizes, and executes plant projects within their assigned area. This individual is responsible for delivering capital expenditure initiatives on time and on budget, tackling operational challenges, and creating practical solutions independently. The position reports to the Manager-Technical Projects and supports projects in Paramount, CA, as well as Verdi, NV. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Paramount, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute small to large capital expenditure projects, including equipment and expansion.
  • Plan and execute facilities projects, including buildings, civil works, and compliance projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets from planning through execution and completion.
  • Create and present project status reports regularly to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Support equipment engineering and maintenance teams in planning and executing plant infrastructure upgrades and repairs.
  • Develop project implementation plans, including forecasting downtime and production impact, and communicate with relevant departments.
  • Coordinate vendors and suppliers for projects, managing the quoting process through delivery and ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Manage general and specialized contractors from quoting through final acceptance of work, overseeing on-site construction activities.
  • Support engineering and technical efforts on plant projects to develop solutions to technical issues.
  • Conduct regular meetings to communicate project status, challenges, and escalation requirements.
  • Ensure organized, centralized files and documentation for all project activities.
  • Track project performance and goals, focusing on process improvement for future projects.
  • Support engineering design and analysis of plant machinery and systems.
  • Take a supportive role in ensuring environmental, safety, and facility security compliance.
  • Assist with the implementation of annual shutdowns and commissioning of equipment projects, which may include working weekends and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements.
  • Capital project management experience with large-scale projects.
  • Knowledge and experience using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) preferred.
  • Familiarity with state and local building codes and standards.
  • Goal-oriented with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure with sensitivity to deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or PMP required; B.S. in Project Management or Engineering preferred.
  • 0–7+ years of experience in project management or engineering, preferably in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

Pay

$74,800 – $130,000/year
