Project Manager I

About the role
As a Project Manager at Walsh, you’ll organize and initiate structure while maintaining flexibility to adapt as needed. You’ll build lasting infrastructure and relationships, empower responsibility, and hold yourself accountable for profitability and business outcomes. Your leadership will foster a family-like culture within your project teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for multiple aspects of project controls, including costs, planning, scheduling, engineering, supervision, and personnel management
- Oversee project start-up, completion, and close-out processes
- Develop strategies for personnel development and recruiting
- Manage contractual issues and maintain customer relationships
- Accurately forecast costs for job completion
- Lead and develop the project team, with final authority in problem resolution
- Implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans
- Identify and escalate issues to the Program Manager to ensure project success
- Review and approve preliminary schedules, financial projections, and cost-to-complete estimates
- Ensure construction site rules and procedures are followed
- Coordinate with the Safety Manager to meet project safety goals
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in construction project management
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven experience managing construction teams
- Strong track record in client relationships
- Willingness to relocate if required for specific roles
