Project Manager - Hydrology and Hydraulics
About the role
Garver seeks a Project Manager - Hydrology and Hydraulics to join our growing Transportation Team in North Little Rock, AR; Frisco, TX; Houston, TX; South Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Birmingham, AL; Huntsville, AL; Kansas City, MO; or Overland Park, KS. This role involves collaborating with clients and design engineers on engineering projects for federal and state agencies, municipalities, and other jurisdictions.
Primary responsibilities include working with an established team to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design for municipal and DOT clients across Garver's footprint. The role also involves management, marketing, subconsultant coordination, project/task scheduling, plan production oversight, preparing cost estimates, and client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design for municipal and DOT clients
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design engineers
- Manage projects and tasks, including scheduling and oversight
- Coordinate with subconsultants
- Oversee plan production
- Prepare cost estimates
- Interact with clients
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program with emphasis in water resources engineering
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant consulting and design experience
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering project management experience
- Advanced knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design
- Advanced experience with HEC software such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
- Experience with two-dimensional hydraulic modeling preferred
- Experience with GIS software and its application to H&H modeling, analysis, and design
- Experience with Microstation, InRoads, GEOPAK, OpenRoads, and/or other design software is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on hydrology and hydraulics projects
