Responsibilities

- Managing and coordinating mechanical construction projects from conception to completion.
- Understanding all projects in-depth, ordering materials/equipment, issuing subcontracts, developing billings, completing and managing RFIs and change orders, preparing/reviewing submittals, etc.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contracts/subcontracts.
- Ensuring all project team members are fully informed of project information.
- Planning ahead to prevent problems and resolve issues before they become significant.
- Managing large jobs with minimal supervision.
- Procuring and managing project subcontractors and equipment vendors.
- Inspecting the jobsite regularly for contract compliance, workmanship, and safety.
- Timely completion of assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Communicating with customers, building owners, subcontractors, and field support staff.
- Working flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management or equivalent.
- Proven working experience in Construction Management or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (optional).
- Familiarity with HVAC and piping systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction management software packages (strong computer skills).
- Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills.
- Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while handling multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- OSHA 30 certification (required upon hiring).
- The position requires the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs., work in a construction environment, and use various tools and equipment.
