About the role

TRC is seeking a Project Manager with our Safety-Industrial Hygiene practice in our Chicago, IL office. This position will work on various public and private projects throughout Chicagoland and potentially adjacent states.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection for asbestos, mold, lead-based paint, and PCBs.
  • Water intrusion investigation and water leak investigation.
  • Perform project oversight and coordination with contractors.
  • Collect air samples as required by various regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare project chain of custody.
  • Operate and maintain instruments including sampling pumps, calibrators, and microscopes.
  • Collect samples as required by regulatory agencies, complete data sheets, chain of custody forms, and prepare samples for shipment to laboratory.
  • Prepare project daily logs.
  • Interact between client and contractors.
  • Work with regulatory agencies.
  • Read project specifications and drawings.
  • Prepare reports.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read project specifications and drawings.
  • Prior experience in various aspects of abatement projects is required.
  • Must be a good communicator and a team player.
  • Certified Asbestos Inspector and/or Asbestos Project Monitor certification required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
  • 1-5 years of experience with hazardous building material consulting experience.

Pay

Salary range: USD $65,000.00 – USD $84,427.20 per year. Eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program contingent on company, business segment, and individual performance.
