Project Manager - Ground-Up Multifamily Residential Construction

About the Role

An established New Jersey based general contractor is seeking a Project Manager to lead a ground-up multifamily residential development in Jersey City. This is a key leadership role offering full project ownership from preconstruction through closeout with a firm recognized for its consistent delivery of quality residential buildings across the Hudson.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of the construction process, from preconstruction through final turnover
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and logistics plans
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and performance
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders with support from APM and project engineers
• Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, ownership, and field teams
• Monitor progress against milestones and resolve issues to maintain momentum
• Conduct site visits, lead meetings, and ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards
• Drive project closeout, turnover packages, and final inspections

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing ground-up multifamily or residential construction in NYC/NJ
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
• Strong command of Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling software
• Deep knowledge of NYC building codes, DOB inspections, and local subcontractor market
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
