Management of Heavy Civil Work Scope
Salary: $80,000.00 – $147,000.00 per year plus extensive benefits
Requirements
- A proven ability to manage ($1M-$50M) projects in the Public and/or Private construction environments
- Work as a General Contractor and/or directly with General Contractor Project Manager/Construction Manager for cohesion across all project management and construction management roles
- Lead all project documentation from job start to close-out to include but not limited to financial forecasting, quantity tracking / reconciliation, value engineering, project/scope changes, permitting, invoicing, contracts, pay applications, submittals, as-built drawings and O&M manuals
- Build and understand preconstruction estimating and bidding, project specifications, schedules, commitments, and contracts
- Ability to identify design detail challenges and proactively provide solutions
- Lead timely and effective communication with team, subcontractors, clients, owner’s representatives, design partners
- Remain positive and innovative when faced with partial design developments, challenges, opportunities, and changes
- Own all aspects of the project budget, schedule, coordination, change orders, and client expectations
- Manage and negotiate subcontracts/purchase orders for scope of work clarity
- Proactively initiate RFIs, submittals, document control, and compliance
- Proactive material identification and procurement including submittals, take-offs, and pricing
- Develop and mentor project engineering staff members in conjunction with other project management duties
- Effectively communicate project status, goals, and parameters with support staff including executive management, administrative staff, and field staff
