Project Manager - Focus Factory
Position Overview

About the Role
The Project Manager supports the Focus Factory team and is responsible for ensuring successful planning and completion of all phases of assigned projects, including initiation, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing for Department of Defense work.
Responsibilities
- Oversees a team of Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Coordinators to ensure complete and successful execution of project deliverables and contract requirements.
- Maintains responsibility for project budgets and budget projections; utilizes appropriate tools including system reporting and earned value management to ensure projects are completed on or under budget.
- Develops, monitors, and updates all aspects of the project schedule in coordination with the Scheduler/Planner and Project Team; includes activities, sequences, budgets, manpower, and planned start dates.
- Reviews and understands incoming requests for pricing, statements of work, and drawings/specifications for new contracts, task orders, technical instructions, and change orders; coordinates and monitors the bid estimating and submittal processes to ensure scope coverage.
- Led internal and participates in external project meetings; provides direction to the Project Team and fields questions from both internal and external Stakeholders.
- Acts as a liaison between all Stakeholders (engineers, owners, field personnel, etc.) to ensure information and changes are effectively communicated and understood by all parties.
- Maintains excellent customer service and builds/maintains relationships with key clientele to promote follow-on work and a positive image of Rhoads Industries.
- Mentors, trains, and develops skills of Project Engineers and other Project Team members.
- Safeguards safety; communicates and supports the project safety program as needed and participates in conducting safety inspections.
- Able to take instruction, display knowledge of the work being performed, able to retain and apply skills taught.
- Reports suggestions/recommendations to Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensures products are of utmost quality; project team is aligned in communication and drawing specifications are adhered to. Delivers what the customer wants, how they want it.
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering, Construction Technology, or other related discipline required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- 7+ Years of Previous Experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or in a production facility.
- DoD or subcontractor experience highly preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and successfully lead an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to work additional hours as necessary to meet business plan objectives.
- Ability to work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Dynamics, and Earned Value Management is a plus.
- Ability to communicate requirements in an industrial environment and to give effective direction by using written and/or verbal skills where appropriate.
- Excellent customer service and client communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Able to acquire and maintain appropriate Government security clearance required.

Work Environment
The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required. May require walking and standing on irregular, uneven surfaces in an industrial setting and possibly at increased heights climbing and descending ladders and ship stairways. Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile.
