Project Manager - Finance Transformation
About the role
The Finance Organization is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to lead and support technology-focused and other projects and initiatives within the Finance function.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for Finance technology initiatives, including ERP upgrades, financial system implementations, and digital transformation projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and success criteria in partnership with Finance leadership and IT stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, risk registers, and status reports.
- Cook up UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles, system integrations, and data migration activities for Finance-related platforms.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Finance end-users and IT/vendor teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including Finance leadership, the CAO/Controller, IT, Procurement, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level project updates, presentations, and status reports to the senior leadership.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, steering committee reviews, and working sessions; document decisions and track action items to resolution.
- Proactively identify and escalate project risks, issues, and blockers with recommended mitigation strategies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline Finance workflows through technology and process re-engineering.
- Document current-state and future-state processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Support change management efforts by coordinating communication plans, training sessions, and adoption tracking.
- Maintain a centralized project portfolio for all Finance technology initiatives and provide regular reporting on project health.
- Ensure all Finance technology projects adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and data governance standards.
- Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure project deliverables meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation for audit trails and post-implementation reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience, with 2 years managing technology-related projects preferred.
- Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities without loss of quality.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior executives clearly and confidently.
Qualifications
- Experience in project management, preferably in a finance or technology context.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Experience with project planning tools like Microsoft Project or similar software.
- Understanding of financial systems and processes.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial system implementations.
- Experience with digital transformation projects and stakeholder management.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $86,000 to $107,500. The actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
Schedule
Flexible work arrangements are available, and the primary work location is the United States with a remote work model.
