Provide effective management of key finance projects and prepare economic and financial forecasts for use in the development of financial decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Project Control (40%) – Develop an effective plan for controlling project scope, schedule, and cost. Monitor project execution to ensure the plan is followed. Create and coordinate documentation to explain changes or potential changes to the baseline and ensure approved changes are implemented. Maintain project logs of all submitted changes and their status.
  • Project Communications (30%) – Develop a plan for communicating project information to the project team and stakeholders. Create written status reports and scorecards, and present project review documents to senior leadership. Collect and document project issues and manage their timely resolution.
  • Project Risk Management (10%) – Lead the definition of project risks and required mitigation approaches. Monitor project activities for risk occurrence and take timely action to escalate or mitigate risks. Advise project team members and stakeholders of actions required or completed.
  • Project Lessons Learned (10%) – Capture key lessons learned at the completion of a project or project phase and communicate them to peer Project Managers. Apply lessons learned in subsequent projects.
  • Project Environment (10%) – Share responsibility with project leadership for providing a good working environment. Ensure teams are staffed, duties and responsibilities are understood, and an inclusive environment is maintained.

Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint (preferred).
  • Prior experience in corporate finance and/or retail (preferred).
  • MBA (preferred).

Skills

  • Ability to perform detailed analyses and create executive summaries.
  • Ability to present and defend work to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to influence decisions of individuals you do not supervise.

Schedule

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.
  • On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area.
  • Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
