Project Manager - Federal (Minneapolis, Richland)
About the role
The ideal candidate will have experience working on DOE, facility, laboratory, and federal campus infrastructure projects. They will manage all design, cost, schedule, construction and general administration activities associated with their projects and have experience working within the quality program requirements of NQA-1.
Responsibilities
- Manage project delivery, including scoping, budgeting, maintaining schedules, meeting budget objectives, communicating and meeting deadlines.
- Make critical decisions and recommendations that have an important effect on projects and programs.
- Plan, coordinate, communicate and facilitate activities of several disciplines on projects of all sizes from concept through completion.
- Assist in maintaining client relationships and network within the client organization in supporting business development activities.
- Support the establishment of a local office and building the Burns & McDonnell brand and reputation in the region.
- Work with other Global Practices or divisions on emerging projects in the area.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 7 to 20 years related experience, including delivery of facilities and infrastructure projects.
- Ability to make thoughtful, informative and persuasive presentations to clients, regulatory agencies and the general public.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE, GSA, DOS or DoD Security Clearance.
Qualifications
- Ability to represent Burns & McDonnell in a professional, competent manner.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Skills
- Experience working with external regulators or stakeholders (e.g. Washington State Department of Ecology, Hanford Advisory Board, etc).
