Project Manager - Facilities - Green

About the role

Scripps Green Hospital, located on the Torrey Pines Mesa near I-5 and Genesee Avenue in La Jolla, has been serving the greater San Diego community since 1977. The hospital provides a range of specialized care, including several nationally ranked specialty programs. It is attached to Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines, offering a variety of medical and surgical services.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of the site Facilities Support Management.
• Be responsible for project ICRA's submittals and oversight (infection control risk assessment).
• Work with infection control and Safety on all ILSM (interim life safety measures) for all projects.
• Manage capital funding and project management related to renovation of buildings and facilities at a Scripps Health site(s).
• Direct and assist, in collaboration with facility design and construction team, contracted personnel in the cost estimating, planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance improvement project work.
• Serve as the site liaison for facilities design and construction projects.
• Study specifications to determine appropriate planning and procedures for each project, including the schedule and staffing requirements for each phase of the project.
• Serve as the liaison between the contracted workforce and the applicable hospital departments.
• Collaborate with patient care departments to ensure safe work practices with minimum interruption to services.
• Order tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform with work schedules.
• Confer with and direct subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of the project to prevent delays.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications and that project and phasing schedules are adhered to.
• Prepare reports on progress, materials used and costs.
• Adjust work schedules as indicated by reports.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management related to Hospital Facilities Operations.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Experience with IT projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 7:00am-3:30pm and weekends as needed for project completion.

Pay

Position Pay Range: $42.51-$61.62/hour
