About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our construction team assisting in the project management of major construction projects at the Naval Reactors Facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction projects and project teams that support improvement projects for the Naval Reactors Facility including defining, planning, and ensuring execution of all tasks necessary to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining the project team infrastructure
  • Obtaining necessary resources to support the project
  • Defining project scope and work breakdown structure
  • Developing cost estimates and resources loaded schedules
  • Evaluating change requests and approving or rejecting as appropriate
  • Managing overall costs to budget
  • Managing subcontracted relationships
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Interfacing with and integrating the efforts of stakeholders, support personnel and line management to ensure project objectives are achieved
  • Assessing project or program performance
  • Coordinating, supporting and facilitating project / process meetings
  • Supporting the preparation & presentation of periodic reviews with management and stakeholders
  • Recommending resources or skills needed to supplement project core team
  • Providing support to new and existing contracts, projects and programs
  • Coordinating and mentoring / training project team members, stakeholders & junior project support personnel

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience

Preferred skills

  • Project Management Certification (NNL PMCP, PMI, or IBM)
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and Power BI software
  • Experience with construction projects and / or production support operations

Pay

$106,200.00 - $166,000.00 annually. Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
