About the role
The Project Manager/Estimator – ACT (Acoustical Ceiling Tile) at Nevell Group, Inc. (NGi) is responsible for managing projects through all stages, from early budgeting and estimating to project completion and closeout. This role involves identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, managing awarded projects, and ensuring cost accuracy and schedule performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full project life cycle for ceiling division projects—from bidding through closeout
- Review and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive estimates
- Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases
- Cook up and coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and procurement with internal teams and external partners
- Track labor, material, and subcontractor costs, and forecast project performance
- Lead and facilitate project meetings with clients, architects, and subcontractors
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders
- Monitor project schedules, manpower, and materials to ensure timely and efficient delivery
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout project execution
- Mentor and support Project Engineers and Junior Estimators
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience (commercial construction estimating or management)
- Experience with acoustical ceilings and specialty wall/ceiling systems strongly preferred
