Responsibilities
- Project management, leadership, profitability and client management for a design team.
- Manage team assignments and balance workload in a deadline driven environment.
- Provide vision and guidance to the firm in the area of Project Management.
- Drive growth of the company’s business model and promote business development.
- Quality Control.
- Permitting of federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
- Provide technical assistance to staff and clients in resolving problems.
- Prepare presentations to various land use related boards and jurisdictional agencies.
- Build and manage client relationships, program and project management, promoting and selling strategic alliances.
- Prepare proposals.
- Guide, manage and support the delivery of projects and programs to ensure quality, and on-schedule and on-budget completion.
- Financial management of projects including accounts receivable.
- Lead projects through hands-on project management and actively manage the project plan, deliverables, dependencies and outcome of assigned projects to ensure projects are on-schedule and on budget.
- Client management and overall satisfaction.
- Mentor and develop staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 7+ years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting experience).
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle.
- Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software.
- In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning processes.
- Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic Stormwater Design.
- Proficient in design and drafting capabilities.
- Proficient grading and drainage design skills.
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains.
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals.
- Proficient in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes.
- Construction oversight experience for site work.
- Proficient in the use of the following design tools for site engineering:
- AutoCAD Civil3D
- Hydrology Software i.e. Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack
- Hydraulic Software i.e. Hydraflow, StormCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA)
- HEC-RAS
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
- Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Independent and critical thinking abilities.
- Superior organizational and delegation ability.
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring.
- Client management experience.
