About the role
Dynamic Engineering is a nationally recognized multidisciplinary consulting firm providing engineering, surveying, environmental, planning, landscape architecture, traffic engineering, and related consulting services throughout the United States. The Project Manager is responsible for project management, leadership, profitability, and client management for a design team.
Responsibilities
- Project management in the areas of Land Development Plan Design, Stormwater Management Design, Water and Sanitary Sewer Design, and Erosion and Sedimentation Control Design
- Manage team assignments and balance workload in a deadline-driven environment
- Provide vision and guidance to the firm in the area of Project Management
- Drive growth of the company’s business model and promote business development
- Quality Control and permitting of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
- Provide technical assistance to staff and clients in resolving problems
- Prepare presentations to various land use-related boards and jurisdictional agencies
- Build and manage client relationships, program and project management, and promote strategic alliances
- Prepare proposals and guide, manage, and support project delivery to ensure quality, on-schedule, and on-budget completion
- Financial management of projects including accounts receivable
- Lead projects through hands-on project management and actively manage project plans, deliverables, dependencies, and outcomes
- Client management and ensure overall satisfaction
- Mentor and develop staff
- Maintain presence and leadership in regions where we do business through involvement in civic, professional, and business organizations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting experience)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
- Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software
- In-depth knowledge of the planning and zoning processes
- Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic Stormwater Design
- Proficient in design and drafting capabilities, grading, and drainage design skills
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals
- Proficient in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes
- Construction oversight experience for site work
Skills
- Proficient in the use of the following design tools for site engineering:
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Hydrology Software (e.g., Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack)
- Hydraulic Software (e.g., Hydraflow, StormCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA))
- HEC-RAS
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
- Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Superior organizational and delegation ability
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Client management experience
