About the role
The Project Manager position is a long-term contract opportunity located onsite in Bridgman, MI. You will report to the client management team and be part of exciting projects for upgrades, replacements, or new installations.
Responsibilities
- Achieve project goals and advise the Project Sponsor of issues that could adversely affect meeting project objectives.
- Conduct business analyses and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
- Develop functional requirements, budgets (including ROI analyses), and evaluate technologies and systems needed for the project.
- Develop and obtain resource needs for project development and implementation, including outside services.
- Participate as, or assign tasks of, client representative in corporate or industry plans related to the project.
- Develop project plans, schedules, resource requirements, milestones, and performance indicators.
- Manage project close-out upon completion, including an analysis of the project's success in meeting ROI goals.
- Provide reports to Senior Management and the station on project status and progress toward goals.
- Prepare and administer budget plans to manage expenses within established guidelines.
- Support and participate in the Corrective Action Program activities as assigned.
- Perform all tasks and work with other employees in a safe manner, complying with company safety policies and rules.
- Assume responsibility for upgrading knowledge and skills.
- Perform tasks that may involve work in hazardous areas and possible radiation exposure within NRC-prescribed limits.
- Manage radiological control work practices and contamination control program requirements.
- Identify and correct improper contamination control practices, track and trend data, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related technical field, or equivalent education/experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired but not required.
- Five years of experience in commercial nuclear power with demonstrated ability in project management.
- Specialized skills related to the project’s area may be required.
- Ability to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.
