About the role
AHL, formerly Architects Hawaii Ltd., is seeking a Project Manager with Department of Defense (DoD) experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage, coordinate, and oversee production and design of DoD and non-DoD projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, and oversee production and design of DoD and non-DoD projects.
- Provide project management of the project from design through construction documents.
- Coordinate design of the project with both outside consultants and in-house project teams.
- Manage the preparation of design drawings by other designers.
- With Project Architect, review documents for code compliance.
- Oversee overall project finances, including preparing/reviewing invoices for base project fees and additional services.
- Regularly review the project budget and track internal performance.
- Act as a project architect in the absence of this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred.
- Educational background and/or coursework in Architecture, Project Management, or Construction Management required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years substantial experience in all phases of architecture, including five (5) years of substantial project management experience on DoD projects.
- Architectural registration preferred; however, non-licensed and soon-to-be licensed individuals will also be considered.
- Substantial knowledge of DoD procedures for design, project management, and production of design development and construction phase documents.
- Thorough knowledge of architectural planning, detailing, drafting, construction materials and methods.
- Working knowledge of related engineering principles and building codes.
- Proficiency in CAD, Revit, and/or 3-D software programs preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- General knowledge of project scheduling software.
Qualifications
