About the Role

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Project Manager to join our team. In this customer-facing role, you will ensure projects are executed within budgeted cost and time schedules while maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance. You will be part of a dynamic team that fosters growth as Convergint expands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, oversee, and coordinate small to medium projects of moderate complexity from award through completion.
  • Translate customer needs and requirements into detailed proposals and project implementation plans.
  • Communicate project requirements to the project team and maintain accurate records of job status, changes, material flow, and other control records.
  • Act as "our customer’s best service provider" to ensure Convergint remains the customer’s first choice for service.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, supplies, and services to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion within budget.
  • Establish project milestones and analyze costs.
  • Perform limited managerial responsibilities, including overseeing subcontractor selection and work.
  • Participate in the Recruit Awesome People program to help grow Convergint by promoting our colleague-first culture.

Requirements

  • Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
  • Initiative to engage in proactive behavior and seek opportunities and solutions.
  • Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members.
  • Adaptability to respond effectively to changes and influence others using advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills with a leadership orientation.
  • Financial analytical skills, including cost control.
  • Team leadership, team building, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience managing client relationships and communications.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Experience: 5-7 years in project management.
  • Preferred (but not required): 5 years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation industries.
  • Certifications & Licenses: Project Management Institute (PMI) or industry-specific certifications/licenses are a plus.
