Project Manager - Data Centers
About the Role
Colliers Project Leaders is seeking a Project Manager to join our Owner's Rep team in Ashburn, VA; Portland, OR; Atlanta, GA; & Miami, FL. The Construction Manager will plan, coordinate, and direct all activities related to the delivery of assigned datacenter construction projects. You'll act as a liaison both internally and externally for construction services by interacting with Design Managers, personnel, clientele, consultants, contractors, and equipment vendors.

Responsibilities
- Oversee large-scale construction projects that range from site development, ground-up construction, data center buildouts, and customer fit-outs.
- Demonstrate knowledge in base building and tenant MEP systems and manage the design and implementation of these systems.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, key subcontractors, equipment vendors, and other consultants.
- Review all budgeting and scheduling deliverables for content, quality, drawing quality, and adherence to internal budget and schedule goals.
- Act as a subject matter expert in construction matters with the business in evaluating potential customer leases and ongoing construction projects.
- Participate in and lead budget and schedule meeting reviews with construction team personnel.
- Discuss discipline and project objectives, requirements, and budgets with clientele, design staff, and senior leadership.
- Create and maintain project budgets and schedules for multiple sites in various stages of design/construction.
- Evaluate impacts of specific customer requirements.
- Provide oversight and assistance with ongoing construction projects and escalate project issues as needed.
- Conduct or delegate job-site observations to ensure projects adhere to budget and schedule targets.
- Participate in reviews with consultants and government agencies to coordinate entitlements necessary for permitting/construction approvals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of project management experience.
- 2+ years of data center construction experience.
- General Contracting, Construction Management, Equipment Vendor, or Architecture experience preferred.
- Extensive familiarity and working knowledge of construction scheduling, project budgeting, and cost controls.
- Working technical knowledge of MEP systems and how data centers operate.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications, instructions, and interactions.
