Project Manager, Data
About The Role
Built to power the world's largest banks, credit funds, and capital markets counterparties, Setpoint is revolutionizing how these entities operate with trust and efficiency. We're seeking a highly organized and execution-focused individual to join our team. Your role will involve managing project boards, coordinating priorities and deadlines, supporting contractors, facilitating key operating meetings, and improving processes that connect teams and workstreams.
You will be responsible for ensuring that work is clearly defined, appropriately prioritized, assigned to the right owners, and supported by realistic timelines. You will also identify risks, dependencies, capacity constraints, and recurring process issues before they become delivery problems. Success in this role means the project board is accurate and trusted, priorities and ownership are clear, delivery risks are surfaced early, meetings lead to decisions, implementers are set up to succeed, and teams operate through consistent processes and shared accountability.
Who Will Love This Job
- A systems-minded organizer who enjoys turning complex, fast-moving work into clear plans, workflows, and priorities.
- A proactive problem solver who identifies bottlenecks, risks, and gaps early.
- A clear and confident communicator who can bring the right people together and ensure decisions translate into action.
- A collaborative operator who enjoys working across teams and improving coordination, ownership, and handoffs.
- An advocate for operational excellence who cares about building processes that improve efficiency, throughput, accountability, and quality of life for the team.
- Able to handle change comfortably, introducing structure without unnecessary bureaucracy and adapting processes as the organization evolves.
What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain project and ticket management across teams and workstreams using Linear, Asana, and related communication tools.
- Ensure work is captured in clear, actionable tickets with sufficient context, appropriate owners, cross-initiative priorities, dependencies, and realistic deadlines.
- Monitor project progress, capacity, dependencies, and delivery risks, surfacing trade-offs when commitments, timelines, and available resources are not aligned.
- Escalate bottlenecks and recommend ways to improve efficiency, throughput, team coordination, and quality of life.
- Run project board reviews and other key operating meetings, ensuring the right stakeholders participate and discussions result in clear decisions.
- Improve cross-functional coordination and handoffs so that work does not get lost, duplicated, or passed between teams without adequate context.
- Monitor team capacity, identify staffing or coverage gaps, and recommend adjustments to scope, sequencing, timelines, or resources.
- Identify recurring operational issues and continuously improve processes as the team and business needs evolve.
