About the role

The Project Manager is an organized, service-oriented individual who manages projects for a variety of customers. This role involves coordinating with multiple departments, vendors, employees, and customers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager also identifies and suggests value-added services to enhance customer operations.

Responsibilities

• Assume total responsibility for awarded jobs, including ordering materials and performing project take-offs and estimating.
• Order subcontract services using purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Follow up on material deliveries to ensure projects stay on schedule.
• Schedule jobs with customers and generate work orders for technicians.
• Prioritize and formulate schedules to execute client work efficiently.
• Generate accurate and detailed reports on a timely basis.
• Provide technical support to field service personnel for testing and troubleshooting electrical power distribution systems.
• Work on or field-supervise projects as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, management, and team members for problem resolution and information transfer.
• Maintain project status and provide updates to clients in a customer-service-oriented manner.
• Expand project scope and negotiate extra charges for additional work performed.
• Manage ongoing schedules and travel planning to ensure timely customer response.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights, and be available for out-of-town work.
• Ensure all work complies with regulatory laws and safety rules.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with management and administration for timely job closeout and invoicing.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical operation of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Electrical Power Equipment from all manufacturers.
• Experience with testing procedures such as Insulation Resistance Test, Primary and Secondary Injection, Contact/pole resistance, and Mechanical Operation of breakers.
• Experience testing Current Transformers and Potential Transformers.
• Knowledge of NETA, PEARL, and ANSI Standards for testing Electrical Power Equipment (e.g., Circuit Breakers, Switches, Transformers, Relays, PTs, CTs, Cables).
• Ability to read and understand complex one-line diagrams, schematics, parts lists, and other technical materials for troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities successfully.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

Pay

Pay range is $40–55 per hour, depending on experience, skillset, and certifications.

Schedule

Work may require flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights. Must be available for out-of-town work with approximately 30% travel.

Physical Demands

• Office duties combined with fieldwork.
• Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs daily.
• Crawling, climbing, and standing for long periods.
• Working in non-ideal conditions.
