Responsibilities

  • Oversight of day-to-day operations, including project execution, field activities, resource coordination, and resolution of customer and operational issues.
  • Participation in hiring efforts and mentorship, coaching, and development of team members through performance reviews and ongoing feedback.
  • Scheduling and coordinating field personnel and resources for local and large-scale projects.
  • Providing technical guidance, reviewing quotes, performing site walks as needed, and ensuring quality of field work and reports.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Monitoring project performance to meet profitability and operational goals.
  • Partnering with leadership to improve processes and support business initiatives.
  • Preparing reports and communicating project status as needed.
  • Maintaining flexibility to support customer and business needs, including occasional after-hours or weekend work.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or a related industry.
  • Hands-on experience testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining high-voltage substation equipment (69kV-345kV), including protective relays, breakers, transformers, and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of utility, industrial, commercial, or renewable energy environments.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and team management experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to safe work practices.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or a related industry.
  • Hands-on experience with high-voltage substation equipment.
  • Knowledge of utility, industrial, commercial, or renewable energy environments.
