GDIT is seeking a Project Manager-Expert to support Cyber Security Governance activities for our customer. The Cyber Secretariat provides strategic, operational, and governance support to boards and councils within the Office of Cyber Security (OCS) Front Office, ensuring effective oversight of cyber defense priorities, risks, capabilities, and initiatives. This role serves as the central coordination function between members, leadership, and project teams, acting as an information custodian for the boards and councils.

About the role

The Project Manager will provide project management support to the customer's Executive Director and Front Office, managing day-to-day operations, governance processes, and interactions with senior leaders in the Office of Cyber Security (OCS).

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations and governance processes.
  • Develop and maintain the briefing schedule.
  • Ensure briefing materials are submitted and provided to members within agreed timelines.
  • Record and maintain decisions, recommendations, action items, and assigned owners in the official Memorandum for the Record (MFR).
  • Track actions through completion using the customer's internal system.
  • Draft correspondence, briefing notes, decision memoranda, talking points, and other communications.
  • Manage official records and coordinate meeting logistics.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with directives, regulations, and standards on cybersecurity.
  • Maintain official records, including MFRs, within customer systems with role-based access.
  • Review deliverables for grammar, flow, and completeness.
  • Communicate with team leads and senior leadership.
  • Assess changes and rapidly adapt to new or evolving requirements.
  • Understand and utilize transcription software and AI tools to interpret transcripts and create reports.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Technical training, certification(s), and/or a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional and collaborative demeanor.
  • Very strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to determine and engage stakeholders across multiple organizations.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Onsite work location in Herndon, VA (customer site).
  • Travel required: less than 10%.
