Project Manager – Culture, Belonging & Inclusion Initiatives
About the role
We are seeking an agile, collaborative Non-Technical Project Manager to join the Inclusion Activation Center of Excellence (COE) at a top-tier Big 4 consulting firm. In this role, you will serve as an operational anchor and strategic partner supporting firmwide inclusion, culture, and belonging priorities. You will facilitate programming at scale across 16+ Employee Resource Groups (Inclusion Networks) representing more than 27,000 members nationwide. Operating at a Manager level, you will partner with senior leaders, lead strategic communications, manage project milestones, and oversee event workstreams ranging from internal executive sessions and firmwide webcasts to large-scale external convention sponsorships. This is a 100% remote position (any U.S. time zone; EST working hours preferred) for a 6‑month contract providing parental leave coverage, and requires 3–5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, workstream trackers, and deliverable timelines across national inclusion initiatives.
- Drive effective change management across matrixed corporate environments, ensuring clear alignment between national strategy teams and local chapters.
- Track project milestones, status reports, risks, and documentation with rigorous attention to detail.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process optimizations to ensure repeatable, scalable delivery.
- Act as a central strategic advisor and communicator for network leaders, senior managers, and external diversity partner organizations.
- Craft high-impact written updates, presentation slide decks, leadership briefing notes, and member communications with clarity, empathy, and professional poise.
- Lead and facilitate recurring cadence calls (e.g., bi-weekly touchpoints, strategy sessions, and planning syncs).
- Coordinate deliverables and communications for sponsored national diversity conventions (managing cohorts of up to 300+ attendees).
- Partner directly with senior management to manage budgets, track operational spend, forecast allocations, and reconcile vendor and sponsorship costs.
- Ensure financial accountability and accurate reporting across multiple simultaneous network budgets.
- Provide strategic advisory, agenda shaping, and communications oversight for virtual national webcasts and in-person leadership gatherings (typically 20–25 attendees).
- Partner alongside dedicated internal event logistics teams to drive seamless handoffs from strategic conception to day-of execution.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of project or program management experience within a corporate enterprise or professional services environment.
- Inclusion & ERG Knowledge: Familiarity with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and diversity/belonging initiatives (e.g., LGBTQ+, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Women’s, Veterans, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Executive Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex updates calmly, clearly, and with high emotional intelligence.
- Technical & Software Acumen: Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly building polished presentation decks in PowerPoint and managing tracking data in Excel. Hands-on familiarity with modern AI productivity tools to optimize everyday workflows and communications.
- Agility & Adaptability: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and pivot quickly as priorities shift.
- Mindset: Proactive, solutions-oriented problem solver with a positive, “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.
- Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Interview Process: 2 rounds total (video interviews focusing on project management, communication, and situational problem-solving).
