Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversees Project Managers as they work on specific NSD projects from the time the Project Manager is assigned to completion (energization) to abide by PRC required deadlines.
  • Responsible for the execution of goals, program implementation, and projects within the Project Management function.
  • Promotes the development of ideas for new construction techniques and standards in order to provide efficient practices.
  • Manages a high-volume workload in an area with complex utility systems.
  • Holds employees accountable to complete all projects in a timely and professional manner, while promoting a safe working environment.
  • Works with other Department Supervisors to ensure all resources are allocated to best meet customer and company needs.
  • Ensures Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), and Governmental compliance.
  • Provides technical input for design for new construction, system reliability, and maintenance.
  • Reviews and approves design for new construction, system reliability, and maintenance.
  • Ensures Project Managers are providing input for job scheduling and construction activities, may provide direct input when necessary.
  • Delegates task and project assignments to Project Managers.
  • Oversees and may assist with the planning, coordination, and direction of large projects or several smaller projects.
  • Plans, organizes, and facilitates staff meetings with Project Managers on a regular and on-going basis.

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with five to seven years related experience, including two years supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess a current, legally valid driver's license and meet the Company's driving record requirements.

Communication Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Computer Skills

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Advanced knowledge of BANNER and PassPort, FMS and other PNM Systems that are used by the team.

Analysis And Problem-solving

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and/or stand up to 2/3 of the time.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • May be exposed to occasional hazardous conditions on some job sites.
