About the role
This position helps drive new work from opportunity to execution. You prepare estimates and bids, coordinate awarded projects, gather required documentation, evaluate construction methods, manage costs, maintain timelines, and keep the entire process moving forward from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and bids for commercial or private construction projects
- Coordinate awarded projects from start to finish
- Gather and evaluate construction documents, blueprints, environmental conditions, technical procedures, professional journals, and government regulations
- Take accurate field measurements and develop solid cost estimates for labor, materials, and supplies
- Coordinate pre-construction meetings to align people, schedules, and construction methods
- Identify project requirements such as environmental permits, submittals, utility locates, material inventories, and quantity reviews
- Manage costs and maintain project timelines
- Communicate effectively to keep people informed and projects moving
- Travel to job sites, meetings, and other work-related locations as needed
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience estimating and managing commercial or private construction projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and technical procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; willingness to learn estimating, takeoff, and project management software
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites and meetings
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams
- Dependable, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently or in a team
- Ability to handle deadlines and manage projects under tight timelines
- Ability to pass a pre-hire drug and alcohol screening

Schedule
This is a year-round, full-time position.
- Busy months (April-November): 8-10 hour workdays with occasional weekends as needed
- Winter months: Monday-Friday, 8-hour workdays
