Job Summary

The Project Manager oversees projects with a focus on scheduling and financial oversight. Key responsibilities include developing and managing project timelines, coordinating with subcontractors, overseeing project budgets, and collaborating with estimators and clients.

Essential Functions

  • Plan and coordinate field operations and administrative work across multiple projects.
  • Seek to improve the company's value proposition through continuous improvement.
  • Communicate with the general manager, superintendents, foremen, suppliers, and customers about job cost analysts and job progress.
  • Maintain a safety culture that prioritizes safety and fosters a zero-incident environment.
  • Develop a standard operating procedure for consistent 2-week lookahead schedule process, successful bid submissions, project schedules, and invoice approvals.
  • Inspect projects before bids and during construction, and utilize job cost reports to monitor financials and identify gains or losses.
  • Travel up to 40% of the time for business needs.

Requirements, Education And Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant construction experience.
  • 4-year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of milling, reclamation, paving, and chip seal operations.
  • Knowledge of mathematics, estimating, bidding, production, and processing of raw materials.
  • Experience with B2W Track and XBE software systems, preferred.
  • Proficient verbal and written English.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.

Please note that this job description is not comprehensive and may change at any time. The position may require up to 40% travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout New England based on business needs.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • This role involves mostly sedentary work but requires frequent traveling to construction sites.
  • Requires the ability to sit, walk, bend, stand, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive motions.
