Project Manager Construction

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for leading the planning, design and management of all assigned construction projects.
• Manages new construction and renovation.
• Works independently through all phases of the project including acquisition, planning, site preparation, design and construction.
• Drives decisions as related to design, constructability, construction and other project related matters.
• Is responsible for monitoring the budget and schedule.
• Works in close partnership with hospital stakeholders and department user groups to facilitate all aspects of design, construction, and equipment specifications are met.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Experience in building systems operation, construction management and maintenance strategies is required.
• Experience in procurement methodologies and management of small- and large-scale capital projects including the oversight and management of design consultants, general contractors and construction managers is required.
• Experience with building codes, environmental and life safety regulations is required.
• Experience with Lean training is preferred.
• Experience coordinating, managing and prioritizing multiple tasks is required.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare construction is preferred.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is required.
• Licensure: None
• Certification: None
• Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 3 years is required.
• Years of supervisory experience: None
