Responsibilities
- Aid in the creation of effective work plans and labor budgets for supervisor approval.
- Monitor project timelines and capital cost budgets to meet client requirements.
- Supervise project progress and productivity, aiming to meet predefined profit, productivity, and schedule goals.
- Participate in or lead team meetings to ensure adherence to project review and approval procedures.
- Negotiate scope changes with clients within supervisor's approval limits.
- Ensure all project work complies with quality assurance and quality control standards, systems, and procedures.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with all project team members to maximize utilization rates.
- Review monthly labor and cost reports to ensure projects are progressing according to established goals.
- Assist junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
- Support preparation for public hearings, meetings, and presentations related to current projects.
- Afford assistance to the Billing Department in authorizing and transmitting bills to clients.
- Follow up with clients for timely payment of invoices.
- Comply with health and safety protocols and all relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent work experience for maintaining licensed architect status.
- At least 8-10 years of experience as an Architect.
- Licensure in the state of Texas required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit design software, with a minimum requirement of producing preliminary and schematic designs in AutoCAD, and Revit desired.
- Strong communication skills necessary.
- Willingness to mentor team members on technical and professional skills.
- Previous experience in business development and project management, particularly in planning and executing design/construction projects, is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other managers, leadership, clients, in-house, and outside consultants.
- Client-facing experience required.
- Primarily independent work style.
- Occasional travel to client sites and meetings.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications and interactions.
