NOW HIRING: SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER CLOUD MIGRATION & DATA CENTER Role: Senior Project Manager Cloud Migration & Data Center Location: Remote Experience: 15+ Years Work Authorization: W2 ONLY | USC Focus: Enterprise Cloud Migration | Data Center Exit | Infrastructure Modernization Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale enterprise cloud migration initiatives supporting the modernization of business-critical applications, infrastructure, and technology services. This role will oversee complex, multi-year programs involving cloud adoption, workload migrations, infrastructure modernization, legacy platform retirement, and data center exit activities. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record leading enterprise cloud migration programs while coordinating cross-functional technology teams, stakeholders, and vendors. This individual will be responsible for driving migration strategy, program governance, execution planning, risk management, and the successful decommissioning of legacy systems and infrastructure as organizations transition to modern cloud-based environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of enterprise cloud migration programs, including application, infrastructure, network, and platform migrations. Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, roadmaps, and executive reporting. Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, cloud engineering, architecture, security, application development, operations, and business stakeholders. Manage all phases of cloud migration initiatives, including discovery, assessment, planning, design, migration, testing, cutover, stabilization, and operational transition. Facilitate workload assessment, dependency mapping, migration wave planning, and cloud readiness activities. Establish program governance frameworks, project controls, communication plans, and executive-level reporting. Identify, document, and mitigate risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies across the migration program. Lead stakeholder alignment and executive steering committee meetings to ensure timely decisions and successful program execution. Monitor project financials, resource planning, vendor activities, and program performance metrics. Coordinate change management, communication, training, and operational readiness efforts to support successful adoption. Manage migration cutovers, validation activities, and post-migration stabilization efforts. Lead legacy infrastructure retirement initiatives, including application transitions, asset disposition planning, hardware retirement, and decommissioning activities. Coordinate data center exit planning and execution, ensuring workloads are successfully migrated and dependencies are addressed prior to facility shutdown. Ensure all migration, governance, operational transition, and decommissioning documentation is maintained throughout the program lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. 10+ years of project or program management experience leading complex enterprise technology initiatives. 5+ years of experience managing cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, or data center migration programs. Demonstrated experience leading large-scale cloud adoption initiatives involving multiple business units and technology teams. Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, virtualization, storage, cloud platforms, and application architectures. Experience managing complex project dependencies, migration schedules, and cross-functional stakeholders. Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project delivery methodologies. Exceptional Communication, Executive Presentation, Facilitation, And Stakeholder Management Skills. Experience managing budgets, forecasts, vendor relationships, and program governance activities. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting migrations to AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience leading enterprise cloud migrations involving hundreds of applications and infrastructure services. Experience with data center consolidation, relocation, modernization, or exit initiatives. Knowledge of application portfolio management, CMDB processes, workload assessment, and migration planning methodologies.
