About the Role
This position is part of a job family (Associate Engineering Specialist, Engineering Specialist, and Senior Engineering Specialist) where experience will be the determining factor. The Engineering Specialist is responsible for assignments of moderate scope and complexity on a variety of projects and assignments in support of both field and staff roles. Travel to project sites will be required as needed. The role currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time regularly spent in the office or at job sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage capital projects across our Power Generation Fleet territory.
- Collaborate with and manage contractors for project and labor needs.
- Perform analysis and provide recommendations of design options, structures, systems, and components.
- Prepare engineering designs, material and construction specifications, and cost estimates.
- Review internal and external construction plans and implement construction activities for more complex projects.
- Perform complex engineering designs, engineering calculations, and system modifications.
- Properly apply codes, standards, and regulations to relevant tasks, designs, and projects.
- Update drawings and other engineering documentation.
