Project Manager

About the role

VSC Fire & Security in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Project Manager to oversee sprinkler and integrated systems projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, meeting deadlines, and maintaining profitability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulations, including fire, NFPA, building, and safety standards.
• Schedule projects in logical steps to meet budget and time deadlines for subcontractors.
• Work closely with sales and design personnel regarding project specifications, manpower needs, and change orders.
• Review construction contract documents and coordinate with subcontractors and General Contractors to gather required project information.
• Obtain or determine project schedules and convey deadlines to the VSC team, including design start, listing, and POJ dates.
• Handle project communication and documentation, including preparing, issuing, and following up on ASIs, RFIs, change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders while monitoring the budget to increase profit.
• Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with estimators and designers to gather information for sprinkler system drawings, hydraulic calculations, seismic brace calculations, and material/equipment schedules.
• Submit stock lists for projects to fabrication and approve fabrication quotes.
• Order additional materials needed for project installation.
• Coordinate installation start and material delivery dates with VSC installation superintendents.
• Maintain proper Risk Management and Safety procedures on all job sites per VSC policies.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in project management in sprinkler or integrated systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to pass various background checks.
• Reliable transportation, valid State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for use of a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Ability to use AutoCAD or SprinkCAD (desirable but not required).
