SummaryThe incumbent in this position provides overall project leadership through complete project life cycle. This includes facilitating decision making process throughout the project, interpretation of the contract documents, providing the interface between the company and customer, as well as all functions as needed to successfully complete the project profitability goals and project schedule. The incumbent must lead in a team environment. ResponsibilitiesLeading of complex projects for the entire electromechanical equipment of hydropower plants in the field of Larfe Hydro Power PlantsAccountable for the project and project profitability through all phases, Hydraulic Engineering, Basic Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Transportation, and Field Service (install, commission, and close out)Ensure contract-compliant execution (incl. review of bids and contracts) and compliance with specified project objectives (costs, deadlines, and quality) through functional leadership and control of the interdisciplinary project teamDevelop customer relationship and support Sales and Account Managers to expand businessDrive change and claim management as well as project-specific opportunity and risk management in the interface function (customers, subcontractors, suppliers)Responsible for project profitability from the project handover to completion. Includes definition of project budgets, monitoring and forecasting of overall project profitabilityLead the development, monitoring, and controlling of project scheduleTake ownership of all project documentationContribute to short and long-term objectives of the Company for process improvement and standardization Required Skills/AbilitiesA Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Controls, Chemical, Civil) or an Associate’s degree in a related field with a corresponding work historyMinimum of five years of experience in the hydropower or supporting industry is requiredWorking knowledge of SAP, ECTR, & Primavera systemsWorking knowledge of heavy manufacturing process, casting, forging, welding, machining and assemblyA good mechanical aptitude with the ability to read mechanical drawings and bills of materialsScheduling and Project Cost Control skillsExcellent organizational and communication skillsStrong leadership skills Physical RequirementsThe employee is also required to talk and/or hear in an office setting (noise level is low). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an office environment from 4-8 hours.
