About the Role
Versar is seeking a full-time Project Manager (PM) to support a Physical Electronic Security Installation project in the Oakland, CA area in support of the United States Marshals Service (USMS). This position is mainly on a customer site with some availability for remote work; travel may be required around the project schedule. This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed client project execution requirements through effective allocation of resources, ensuring high quality work, following budget and schedule parameters.
- Manage subcontractors, including verifying quality of installation and deliverables, evaluating percent complete for subcontracted tasks, evaluating equipment and materials, validating invoices for payment, negotiating costs, and managing scope change.
- Ensure contractual compliance with all installation activities, deliverables, and schedule.
- Manage and document inventory of all equipment and material purchased for the project and/or shipped to the project site for installation.
- Ensure internal project management procedures are followed, including project revenue forecasting and estimate at completion.
- Ensure all projects are carried out safely in accordance with Versar’s safety requirements.
- Conduct and/or report in weekly meetings to internal and external stakeholder entities.
- Act as the senior subject matter expert, monitoring, controlling, and reporting status on cost, schedule, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of verifiable project management experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of overall professional experience in the systems administration field with five years of overall experience in Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems.
- Possess certifications or have the capability to obtain certifications in Hirsch, BVMS, and Bosch IDS.
- Experience with Commend, Aiphone, Inovonics, and networks.
- Prior experience as a project manager for ESS projects with a full understanding of managing clients, financials, vendor relationships, subcontracting, and project-level staff.
- Public Trust clearance requirements.
- US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with electronic security systems, specifically hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems, and Closed Caption TV, specifically with Identiv.
Pay
Expected Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year.
Schedule
The position will primarily work onsite in Oakland, CA with remote work when possible during certain project phases. Travel is possible around the project schedule.
