Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of projects and coordinate their completion on time and within budget.
• Direct and manage software project development from initiation through closure.
• Define project scope, goals, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated documents.
• Gather, analyze, and manage software requirements ensuring they align with stated project goals and objectives.
• Effectively communicate project statuses to team members, stakeholders, executives, and sponsors in a timely and clear manner.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Liaise with various review boards as needed.
• Communicate with developers and users.
• Gather, document, set, and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve approved project objectives.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget and recommend changes when necessary.
• Negotiate with managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Identify and manage project risks by developing mitigation and/or contingency plans.
• Identify and manage project success criteria and measures of success.
• Manage project accounting on a weekly basis including team hours and expenses, budget, and invoices.
• Conduct project post-reviews, measure projections to actuals, and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Ensure successful transition of project results to ongoing operations organization.

Requirements

• Excellent documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Qualifications)

• PMP or other project management certification.
• Experience working with oilfield personnel.
• Experience working in the oil and gas services industry.
