JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager collaborates with the Education Team, providing strategic direction and hands-on project management to enhance education outcomes for children and families. They oversee strategy development, project execution, and budgeting, ensuring initiatives stay on track and within budget. Collaborating with team members, they drive strategic initiatives, evaluate impact, and communicate successes to stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate, deliver, and evaluate special projects and programs.
  • Research and monitor programs to improve educational outcomes for families and children.
  • Engage with team members to address education issues using data.
  • Carry out research and data analysis.
  • Draft, review, and revise education-related communications.
  • Stay updated on education trends and developments.
  • Sustain sustainability planning, fundraising, and resource development, including partnerships and grant writing.
  • Develop and cultivate partnerships with school districts.
  • Facilitate meetings and community engagement.
  • Participate in USI and project-related meetings.
  • Occasionally work nights/weekends and travel.
  • Track and report program outcomes, evaluating programs to meet goals.
  • Maintain data entry productivity in the LEARN Performance system.
  • Manage project contracts and budgets.
  • Develop and present reports to stakeholders and partners.
  • Provide resources and knowledge for clients to access capital, including loans for financial goals like housing and consumer products, to build credit, reduce debt, and support wealth growth through entrepreneurship.
  • Offer consultation services in financial management and goal-setting.
  • Host in-person and virtual seminars for clients seeking financial literacy management resources and capital access.
  • Support and promote the development of the USI CDFI client base.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3 years of nonprofit or human services experience with increasing responsibility in project management, partnership oversight, contract management, and team supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, effective with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable and effective in facilitating group processes.
  • Ability to set vision, lead, and empower team members, residents, and service partners.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and resident-driven, data-driven program design.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality for participants and employees.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple service locations and diverse stakeholders.
  • Culturally sensitive and able to work in diverse settings.
  • Passionate about community building and able to inspire others.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and thrive in a team environment.
  • Skilled in developing and managing program/project budgets.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Advanced MS Excel, and other common software.
