Project Manager

Experience and Education

• Project Management, 5 years (required)
• Construction management, 5 years (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture or equivalent
• PREFERRED – 5 years of experience in ground up construction, multi-story ground ups, tilt wall, strip centers, storage facilities and office complex construction

• Excellent leadership, managerial and mentoring skills

• Must be familiar with Procore or other construction management software
• Must have a positive attitude, be willing to enforce company policies and support a strong culture of teamwork and accountability

Job Duties

• Bid new project opportunities by coordinating efforts with estimators, project coordinators and interns on the team
• Review contract and contract documents and coordinate the team with specific needs to complete all tasks
• Work with estimating team to ensure job cost is set up in accordance with requirements of the project
• Manage all financials, staying within budget and industry standards for profit margin
• Manage all required to attain approvals for payment applications
• Monitor and manage outstanding owner change orders and change order requests
• Complete weekly construction schedules and ensure appropriate milestones are set and owner’s goals are met
• Communicate effectively with customers, superintendents, and sub-contractors
• Review and understand all construction documents to ensure conformance with budget, schedule, and prime contract
• Direct project closeout process to ensure that all contractual obligations are met within the timeframes outlined
• Identify and anticipate potential issues and mitigate any risks to project completion
• Prepare and publish documentation and project notes in a timely manner
• Maintain and strengthen national client and subcontractor relationships to secure future opportunities and long-lasting, collaborative relationships
