Tri-City IronWorks is seeking a Project Manager for an immediate opening in Davenport, IA.
About the role
The Project Manager will prepare detailed estimates and manage steel erection projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide follow-up regarding status of quoted items, subcontractors, and equipment purchase orders
- Attend weekly job meetings (onsite and internally)
- Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule (includes interfacing with customer representatives, A-E representatives, other contractors, etc.)
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of on-site administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.)
- Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract
- Provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required
- Estimate projects
- Direct and assign manpower
- Attain rental equipment as needed
- Estimate and issue change orders
- Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project
- Foster and maintain good morale and positive relationships with field, customers, and/or office personnel
- Participate as a team in calling and selling customers on potential projects
- Perform additional assignments per management’s direction

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management within the steel construction industry
- Equivalent combination of education/experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Project Management Certification (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Schedule
This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Maintenance of a good attendance record is required; excessive absenteeism or adjustment of your standard work schedule is unacceptable.
