About the role

Therma, a Legence Company, seeks an experienced Project Manager based out of the San Jose area. This role involves running various projects, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, and providing leadership to large project teams. Responsibilities include developing project scopes, managing budgets, overseeing document preparation, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains professional communications with co-workers and clients
  • Makes sales contacts, researches customer needs, and follows up on sales leads
  • Coordinates and utilizes staff from all departments as needed for projects throughout their entirety
  • Prepares budget projections and controls costs
  • Provides communications including memos, contracts, change orders, strategies, and legal protection
  • Attends client project meetings
  • Ensures effective communications and maintains relationships between customers and project team members
  • Manages project roles and identifies and coordinates resource requirements
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by managing project roles and identifying and coordinating resource requirements
  • Assembles and reviews submittals with the client and installation crew
  • Communicates with the client and troubleshoots technical issues on projects
  • Cost outs change orders and presents to the client
  • Tracks material costs and labor hours when necessary
  • Redlines and marks up drawings as needed
  • Supports accountability for individual projects as well as MEP department in general
  • Maintains and follows established Therma Project Management procedures

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Project Manager in HVAC Mechanical / Plumbing industry
  • Ability to operate independently and autonomously, and possess discretionary judgment to consult others when necessary
  • Proficient on MS Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Developed presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relations skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Construction Management, or related field preferred, but not required
  • Current licensed Professional Engineer preferred, but not required

Pay

$125k-$175k depending on experience. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.
