About the role
The Project Manager supports their assigned Managing Consultant in executing tasks, producing high-quality work, and coordinating with team members. This role prioritizes the success of the entire assigned practice area and requires frequent travel to job sites in New York and New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Manage and assess complex information for accuracy and risk on high-profile projects to ensure timely delivery of contracted services.
- Complete plan and cost reviews, site observations, property condition reports, and internal quality control reviews.
- Conduct due diligence for proposed developments and perform construction project management, including leading project meetings.
- Support business development, presentations, research, and senior leadership on projects, initiatives, and administrative matters.
- Travel locally and nationally, including overnight stays.
- Support the assigned Managing Consultant in meeting or exceeding the annual budget for the practice area, including managing resources, utilization targets, and profitable engagement work streams.
- Coordinate with team members, provide guidance, monitor progress, and ensure high-quality work product.
- Monitor individual utilization performance, client deadlines, and timesheet accuracy.
- Meet or exceed individual average utilization goals set by company leadership.
- Mentor project team members in executing defined objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Support quality control of service delivery and maintain an excellent reputation for quality.
- Provide guidance to project team members to rapidly identify and escalate challenges.
- Align work with the organization’s vision and business objectives.
- Collaborate to achieve profit objectives and build cross-functional teams.
- Complete daily tasks consistently and support operational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience, a Master’s degree and 3 years of related experience, or 8 years of related experience with no degree.
- Solid Construction Project Management experience.
- Sound construction and construction administration knowledge.
- Familiarity with housing, retail, and commercial design or construction.
- Construction-related professional qualifications (e.g., AC, CPC, LEED AP, PE, PMP, RA, RICS) preferred.
- Highly articulate with first-rate interpersonal skills for interacting with lenders, investors, developers, and contractors.
- Exceptional problem-solving, prioritization, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle diverse tasks accurately and timely.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to produce high-quality results.
- Excellent written, mathematical, and grammatical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.); Bluebeam proficiency preferred.

Pay
The salary ranges for this role are as follows:
- $79,000.00 - $190,000.00 USD annually (Geographical Tier AA – e.g., NY Metro, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle).
- $73,000.00 - $175,000.00 USD annually (Geographical Tier A – e.g., Irvine CA, Middlesex NJ, Tacoma WA, Boston, Alexandria).
- $67,000.00 - $161,000.00 USD annually (Geographical Tier B – e.g., Baltimore, Chicago, Anchorage, Portland).
