Project Manager

About the role

This remote Project Manager position supports the Child Support Modernization project through 06/30/2027, with potential for additional extension. The role involves managing and coordinating multiple projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid Agile methodologies while supporting all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for large, complex application environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid Agile methodologies
• Support all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Provide project management support for large, complex application environments
• Support the Child Support Modernization project
• Manage project action items and backlogs
• Track project risks and issues; develop and maintain mitigation plans
• Identify and remove project barriers
• Prepare project instructions and documentation
• Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes
• Develop and manage communication plans
• Assist with process improvement initiatives
• Track resource allocation
• Prepare project status reports
• Develop and maintain detailed work plans
• Support PMO functions
• Serve as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders
• Work with business customers to document requirements, analysis, and design deliverables
• Understand and support project business and technical objectives
• Coordinate with project teams and project sponsors
• Support project planning, implementation, testing, and maintenance activities
• Manage project issues, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
• Support data conversion and data management-related project activities
• Provide technical writing and project documentation

Required Experience

• Application Development & Support project management across all phases of the SDLC supporting a large, complex system such as Health & Human Services, Insurance, Banking, etc. – 8+ years
• System modernization project experience – 3+ years
• Working with business customers to document requirements, analysis, and design deliverables – 10+ years
• Creation of detailed work plans using automated tools – 10+ years
• Excellent oral and written communication skills – 10+ years
• Technical writing and documentation – 10+ years
• Microsoft Products including Excel, Outlook, Project, and Word – 10+ years
• Unit/Development Testing, Systems Testing, and supporting User Acceptance Testing – 5+ years
• SharePoint, including administering access – 2+ years
• Project management related to data conversion and data management – 3+ years
