Job Summary
Oversees and manages fiber optic installation projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leads and manages fiber optic installation projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Develops and maintains project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations under tight deadlines.

Communicates effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members regarding project goals, progress, and issues.

Supervises project staff, both virtually and on-site, ensuring all team members are adequately prepared for project tasks.

Reads and interprets splice diagrams and construction drawings.
-
Troubleshoots issues related to fiber optic installations and ensures compliance with industry standards.
-
Utilizes IQGEO, OCUISX and GIS systems to manage project data and logistics effectively.
-
Counsels and conducts virtual and physical site inspections to assess project status, quality control, and safety compliance.

Ensures all work meets regulatory requirements and best practices in fiber optic installation.
Job Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering or a related field required.

Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred.
-
5+ years of experience in project management or a similar role required.
-
Proven experience managing aggressive project schedules and leading teams.

Strong knowledge of fiber optic technology, splice diagrams, and installation practices required.

Proficient in IQGEO, GIS, and other project management software required.
-
Must be able to travel as needed to various project sites and markets, which may require long hours and flexibility in schedule.

Ability to work long hours involving overtime and weekends, as necessary.
-
Ability to respond to the needs of a 24/7/365 operation.

Must be able to work emergency schedules during natural disasters and network outages.

Must be able to work in confined spaces (i.e., attics, crawl spaces, utility holes).

Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather.

Ability to climb and work at elevations (i.e., ladders, poles, lift trucks) exceeding 18 feet.
