About the Role

The OSC Project Manager role drives project teams to deliver on project goals—compliantly, on time, and within budget—for our lender insurance services, protection products, and real estate investor property insurance products. You'll sit at the center of how OSC delivers for lenders and real estate investor clients, standing up new client programs and products, supporting compliance regulations, and leading business process analysis and improvement. You’ll ensure alignment across core business and supporting process teams to reach project goals and strategic objectives. As the central point of communication, you’ll proactively flag what’s going well, what’s at risk, what’s blocking progress, and where scope is shifting—before it hinders the project.

You’ll report directly to the SVP, Business Performance, who will actively coach you alongside a small cohort of driven project management and business process peers. High performance in this role is a proven path into leadership roles elsewhere in the company, offering unparalleled visibility into every component of OSC’s core processes. If you choose to advance within project management, that path is fully supported (see Project Manager II and III levels below). This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role with real stakes—and real support. You’ll own outcomes from day one, but you won’t do it alone.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Drive cross-functional project teams to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget targets while maintaining compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
    • Build and maintain project artifacts: charters, plans, timelines, budgets, meeting agendas/minutes, and hold teams accountable to them.
    • Track compliance-driven deadlines (e.g., regulatory notifications, GSE requirement changes) and close gaps before they become findings.
    • Proactively communicate status, wins, roadblocks, risks, and scope changes to stakeholders—executives, team members, and clients—at every turn.
  • Relationship Development
    • Act as the connective tissue between departments, executives, vendors, and others to align them on shared outcomes.
    • Build trust with frontline staff and credibility with executives to be equally effective in either setting.
    • Represent OSC clearly in meetings with lender/real estate investor clients and technology partners (e.g., core banking, servicing, SMS/notification vendors).
    • Deliver executive summaries with clear action items or decisions needed.
  • Effective Use of Technology
    • Document decisions and workflows using OSC’s standard tools (Lucid/Visio process maps, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Word/Excel/PowerPoint, PipeDrive, Claude Cowork).
    • Translate messy meeting notes and verbal decisions into clear, structured artifacts others can act on.
    • Learn OSC’s core systems and business flows to spot process breakdowns and propose fixes.
  • Training & Customer Service
    • Field questions, concerns, and escalations from clients and internal teams throughout a project’s lifecycle.
    • Help train newer PMs and coordinators as you gain experience.
    • Stay current on OSC’s products and services to speak credibly about the company’s capabilities.

Growth Path

  • Project Manager I – Entry Point
    • Drive assigned projects to on-time, on-budget, compliant delivery with close coaching from the SVP.
    • Coordinate internal resources and vendors, ensuring accountability to scope, schedule, budget, and project goals.
    • Lead project meetings, track progress, and document decisions/open items.
    • Build project plans/scopes with input from senior team members.
    • Proactively report status, risks, roadblocks, and scope changes to stakeholders and executives.
    • Ensure work meets compliance and contractual requirements at every stage.
  • Project Manager II – Growth Track
    • Own projects independently and shape how OSC runs them (in addition to PM I responsibilities).
    • Lead mid-size to complex client implementations and cross-functional initiatives.
    • Drive meetings with multiple departments/vendors to resolution despite competing priorities.
    • Conduct cost analysis and prepare budgets for assigned projects.
    • Identify/escalate project and compliance risks with mitigation recommendations.
    • Mentor Project Manager I team members.
    • Take on defined roles in company-wide initiatives (e.g., system modernization).
  • Project Manager III – Senior Track
    • Run the most complex, highest-visibility work in the portfolio and help set OSC’s project delivery standards (in addition to PM I/II responsibilities).
    • Own strategic, multi-workstream initiatives spanning departments and external partners.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives on project strategy, risk, and prioritization.
    • Set and improve PM practice standards, templates, and tools used across the team.
    • Mentor Project Manager I/II team members and may deputize for the SVP.
    • May specialize in areas like compliance-driven initiatives, vendor/system integrations, or client onboarding for strategic accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a strong record of delivering results, academically and professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, budgets, and teams toward shared goals and deadlines.
  • Comfort owning a timeline and budget, and holding teams accountable.
  • Habit of proactive communication—flagging risks, roadblocks, and scope changes early.
  • Ability to effectively engage with executives, leaders, peers, clients, vendors, and temporary workers.
  • Track record of working through team conflict or setbacks to keep projects on track.
  • Exceptional organization and follow-through—no details slip through the cracks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills—people enjoy working with you.
  • Sharp attention to detail paired with the ability to maintain strategic focus and finish what you start.
  • Basic comfort with databases, data files, and standard business software/AI tools.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus (required for PM II/III).
