Project Manager

This is an onsite role based in our Birmingham, Alabama office, supporting our Revere brand, a leading provider of automation and control solutions for industrial, water and wastewater treatment, power and energy, manufacturing, food and beverage, oil and gas, and pulp and paper industries.
About the role
The Project Manager oversees all aspects of projects by planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects to quality standards, within customer expectations and company objectives. You will manage projects for your assigned division, ensuring deliverables are provided on schedule and within budget. As the primary customer interface, you will coordinate and enhance client relations, support and lead projects, and ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with reviewing Contract Scope of Work, Terms and Conditions prior to execution of contract documents and project implementation.
- Manage customer expectations and relationships.
- Ensure safe delivery of project deliverables to meet customer and budget requirements while maintaining high quality standards.
- Handle contract administration, including invoicing, cost forecasting, cash flow, schedule management, and quality assurance documentation.
- Plan and schedule work activities with Revere personnel and customer contacts.
- Identify and manage areas of risk and change management.
- Report on project performance, areas of concern, risks, and contractual issues to division and corporate management.
- Deliver engineering, project coordination, write engineering specifications, establish design methods, prepare reports, coordinate equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with customers.
- Drive project profitability and customer satisfaction through quality work and on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Develop and manage emergency response plans for control system failures and natural disasters.
- Evaluate employee performance and ensure business initiatives and progress toward goals are effectively communicated.
- Develop and manage overall project schedules and budgets.
- Create schedule of values and project plans.
- Coordinate project tasks and resources with Engineering Group Managers and other Project Managers to foster a team environment.
- Ensure safety measures and procedures during project execution.
- Manage change management processes, including change order estimates, proposals, and negotiations with customers.
- Communicate project plans, status reports, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and management.
- Identify and coordinate responsibilities for project team members, monitoring progress, hours, costs, and deliverables.
- Minimize project rework and promote project success.
- Monitor and summarize project progress for customers and company management.
- Update project forecasts monthly.
- Ensure timely invoicing and collection of receivables.
- Provide input for performance evaluation of engineering resources.
- Mentor engineering team members.
- Identify new business opportunities and refer them to the sales department.
- Assist sales departments in the quotation process.
- Create and negotiate maintenance contracts.
- Maintain good relationships with customers, consultant engineers, vendors, and employees.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent related Project Management experience.
- Extensive experience/knowledge of engineering, construction, design, finance, and management.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project engineering or project management.
- Five (5) years of progressive lead and/or supervisory experience within your industry’s environment, with knowledge of methods, techniques, principles, and practices of control systems.
- Ability to monitor work performance and task implementation of resources assigned to projects.
- Ability to oversee all aspects of projects by planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects to quality standards.
- Ability to manage customer expectations and relationships.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Project Engineering experience is desirable.
- Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public.

Schedule
